Apparently they call it a bl/ook. A blog that becomes a book. Mine will be out in the fall, from kickass St. John’s publisher Breakwater Books — holla. It’s called MotherFumbler. Because I’m fumbling my way through motherhood. And because Motherblogger just didn’t make sense. Because it’s a book. I mean a bl/ook. Whatever. Just read it.

There will be lots of swearing. And gory details about childbirth. And pictures (yay!) but not of my vagina (saving that for the sequel).

Some of my people are going to be mortified and ashamed. But they all best keep their mouths shut if they want a ride in my new sup’d-up minivan which I intend to buy with my profits.

Every copy comes with a free diaper. Not because it’s about babies, but because you are probably going to soil yourself when you read it. You’re welcome.

Please let me know where I can get your book!!! I have a friend who is due in August…and I NEED to get her your book. I read those kind of books when I was expecting, and I wouldn’t recommend one of them. We need a book that’s down to earth and tells the TRUTH! You seem like a straight shooter, and you’re local, so somehow, I feel like I trust you more than the doula from New York, who believes water births is the only true way to experience labour :s please let me know where I can find a copy , or two lol

Now THIS is what I call a great comment – someone asking where they can buy my book. Let’s hope this continues when my book is actually available. 🙂

Motherfumbler won’t be on shelves until the fall. September, I think. If you follow me on facebook (search Motherblogger) or on twitter (@motherbloggery) you will be first to know.

HAHAHA. Oh my god, Diana, you are a nutcase. And I love it. I had a couple “hey, I love your blog” comments this weekend. (The breastfeeding article went viral so I guess I’m all popular now and shit.) Were you one of them or did you just stare at me creepily? If the latter, say hi next time!

I am so very happy that you are going to publish, congrats! your blogs are amazingly honest and funny, I enjoy them immensely , and even though mine are almost grown, it rings true! As for the book- I doubt that I could be mortified — I’m pretty blunt myself, and enjoy the cursing/crassness (I’ve been a chronic “F bomb” dropper myself, and think cursing is the best punctuation there is, but that’s just me)!

I will be sure to share this news with all the mom’s like myself (and you)- who are “muddling through” parenting with humour!

Looking forward to potentially saying hi to you when the book comes out !
